Voter Registration Website

For this project, I created a website to increase voter registration. I had to do research into the different areas of voter registration. I used the information that I gathered to create a website that would encompass all of the areas that may be confusing for a new voter.

Tools Used: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Google Forms, Invision

The Process

To start this project, I conducted visual research for logo inspiration, content information, and color palettes. I also looked at different voter education websites that already exist for inspiration on how to lay out my own website.

I then conducted color and type studies to determine what I should use for the website.

I then conducted a voter registration survey to get a better idea of what the users of the website already know and what they will need to get from it.

I then created three different user scenarios to gain an even better idea of who the users are, why they will be using the website, and what they wish to gain from the website.

I then created a persona based off of one of the user scenarios I created. This helps to better visualize all aspects of the user in one place.

I then created an information architecture to lay out all of the content that will be on the website and to see how it will all flow.

I then created wireframes for all of the screens to get a better idea of how the content will visually look without worrying about the actual design.

I then created the logo for the website, by first creating sketches of what I wanted the logo to look like, then using the color palette I created to create the actual logo.

I then created a high-fidelity prototype for the website based off of the information architecture, wireframes, color study, type study, and visual research I conducted.
